Forex Flash: The BoE is waiting to pass the buck to Carney - Societe Generale

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Sebastien Galy, Senior FX Strategist at Societe Generale notes that in the UK, the BoE is waiting to pass the buck to Carney.

He suspects that it is presumably not really sure if QE is doing what it wants and waiting for him to push the equilibrium in favour of the doves. He writes, “Real disposable income seems the issue in the UK, weakening the GBP is not helping but that seems the favorite tool. The UK labour market shows signs of weakness (see the take from Brian below).”

US: EIA Crude Oil Stocks fall -1.233M in April-12 week

In the week ending at April 12, crude oil stocks fell against expectations, by -1.233M, while market consensus was pointing to a 1.20M rise following a 0.25M rise in the prior week. WTI crude oil is currently trading at $87.45, down by -1.46% on the day.
